Alfa Romeo is starring in the second edition of the Mitteleuropean Race as the event’s main sponsor.

The classic regularity rally for oldtimer cars takes place in Trieste from 13 to 15 October 2017 amid spectacular scenery, with a route that meanders between the Gulf of Trieste and the hills of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, passing through Gorizia and Slovenia.

The Alfa Romeo brand actively supports the event and is participating with showpiece models from the past and present. In the charming Piazza Unità d'Italia in Trieste, the public will be able to admire a number of historic Alfa Romeo cars belonging to private collections, as well as the brand’s latest releases, the Giulia and the Stelvio.

The brand's new paradigm is represented by the Giulia, in the Veloce version, while the Stelvio is the first SUV in Alfa Romeo’s history to guarantee uncompromising performance and driving pleasure. These two models will also be exhibited during the Slovenian stage in Portoroz.

Admiring the historic vehicles behind Alfa Romeo's racing legacy helps to understand the priceless stylistic and technical heritage on which today’s cars are built. Like the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, which was recently crowned "the fastest SUV in the world".

Alfa Romeo will organise road trials for participants and the public in Portopiccolo di Sistiana and along the Trieste seafront, starting from Riva del Mandracchio. It will be possible to test drive the Stelvio and Giulia models and get a close-up look at the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, the brand icon that embodies the racing DNA of Alfa Romeo.

The 2017 Mitteleuropean Race also offers the opportunity to find out more about the activities of FCA Heritage, the department of the Group dedicated to protecting and promoting the historic heritage of FCA’s Italian brands.
