The 500 Coupé Zagato made its debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, which celebrated the concept of one of the best-known brands in world automotive design, in collaboration with the Centro Stile directed by Roberto Giolito. The shape of the roof was unique with its characteristic "double hump", which lowered the car's height while maintaining excellent interior comfort, as well as ensuring an aerodynamic, sporty and elegant, almost aggressive appearance. The Milanese coachbuilder introduced this aesthetic expedient as early as the 1950s to guarantee more habitability for the race crews who competed with helmets in closed cars and it became the most characteristic hallmark of the Zagato.
