For three days, the magnificent medieval Schloss Dyck castle in Germany will be inhabited by the cars of the past.

From 4 to 6 August, the 2017 edition of the traditional Classic Days event will be held in the picturesque castle at Dyck, near Düsseldorf in Germany.

The Classic Days are a must-see for all vintage car enthusiasts, who can enjoy three days in wonderful historic surroundings, in close contact with some of the cars that have shaped history.

Visitors will be able to admire models from different periods, which perfectly embody the values of the Alfa Romeo brand: performance, attention to details and technical excellence.

FCA Heritage is attending with the Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI, the car that dominated the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) in 1993. Alfa took on the fiercely competitive German teams with three Formula 1 drivers: Nicola Larini, Alessandro Nannini and Christian Danner, who drove the 155 of the Schübel team, assisted by long-established test-driver Giorgio Francia.

Larini won the championship, and overall the 155 2.5 V6 TI won 12 victories out of 20 races.

It was a real shock for the German competition, who had to swallow the domination of the DTM 1993 Championship by an Italian brand making its debut outing in this very high-level event.

The 155 developed for the DTM was a very different car from the on-road version from which it was derived: it had four-wheel drive and genuine racing-car characteristics. Want to know more? For more info about its history click here.

Joining the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti DTM (1993), which belongs to the FCA Heritage collection and is on show during the year at the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo in Arese, in the parade will be a Giulia Quadrifoglio and the first SUV in the brand's history: Alfa Romeo Stelvio.

They both represent the brand's new paradigm and feature distinctively Italian design, state-of-the-art engines, perfect weight distribution, unique engineering features, an excellent weight/power ratio and unique handling. What's more, both Giulia and Stelvio have won the coveted Euro NCAP five star rating.
