The Alfa Romeo Museum
now features two new sections

Visitors can now view the Collection and
the new "Alfa Romeo in uniform" section.

July 09, 2020

The Collection area and the new "Alfa Romeo in uniform" section of the Museo Storico in Arese are open to the public.

The Alfa Romeo Museum, a precious exhibition space that preserves the brand's most significant creations, has opened its Collection area to the public and inaugurated a new “Alfa Romeo in uniform” section.

The Collection area, located on the upper floors of the building that once housed the Alfa Romeo Management Centre, is a comprehensive and exciting collection that includes over 150 cars, engines for automotive, aeronautical and nautical applications, trophies and artistic objects.

Divided into 18 thematic areas, it showcases the brand's historic treasures, from the first cars—such as the 20/30 ES which raced in Formula competitions, including Formula 1 and Formula Indy—up to concept cars such as the Caimano and Protéo, as well as prototypes like the Scarabeo and the Sprint 6C.

The authentic and detailed exhibition trail retraces Alfa Romeo's 110-year history up to the most recent cars.

The new section “Alfa Romeo in uniform”, dedicated to the cars of the Carabinieri police force, is located at the end of the museum trail and narrates the historical relationship between Alfa Romeo and Italian law enforcement agencies. The new installation has a dynamic layout and geometric graphics, to maximise the visual impact of the six models representing Alfa’s 60-year partnership with the Carabinieri. From the 1900 M “Matta” (meaning “Mad”), which won the Military Vehicle category at the 1952 Mille Miglia, to the legendary Giulia, the most iconic of the Carabinieri force’s police cars, nicknamed Gazzelle (Gazelles). Also on show are a 75, an Alfetta (in the form of a rare armoured specimen), an Alfa 90 and a rare Giulia Giardinetta.
