As always, the third stage features the highly anticipated descent towards Rome, where the final parade beckons in Via Veneto, amidst the magnificent backdrop of Italy’s capital. The route passes through Lucca and Livorno, reaching Castiglione della Pescaia in time for lunch. In the afternoon the cars reach Grosseto, entering Lazio to descend to the shores of Lake Bolsena and head for the traditional halfway point in Rome.
