Alfa Romeo 4C “Unica”
The Heritage team and Alfa Romeo celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iconic Alfa Romeo 4C with the creation of a unique model: the '4C Designer's Cut' project, curated by the Heritage Department and customised by Alessandro Maccolini, the designer responsible for the original design of this car back in the day.
Since its launch in 2013, the Alfa Romeo 4C has won the hearts of sports car enthusiasts the world over. Today, demonstrating the growing interest in this icon of Alfa Romeo sportiness, the 4C is an 'instant classic' on the market and its prices are constantly rising.
With the 4C Designer's Cut project, part of the Reloaded by Creators programme, the Heritage Department is committed to keeping the passion for this iconic Alfa Romeo car alive. It does so by involving the community and inviting them to express themselves through the brand's communication channels to create a truly unique collector's piece.
An invaluable effort that aims to enhance and renew the brand's historical heritage, restoring the cars’ original charm: a timely example of how the Stellantis Heritage group is continuing along the path started with the Abarth Classiche 1000 SP, creating one-offs or few-offs based on cars no longer in production.
The Alfa Romeo 4C Designer's Cut is the version made by the Heritage team based on Alessandro Maccolini’s customisations of the Alfa Romeo Style Centre, which the designer himself named “4C Unica”
In the video interview, the designer retraces the history of the 4C, presenting the three aesthetic areas from which he drew inspiration in order to create this one-off: "4C Tributo" - honouring the history of Alfa Romeo - "4C Corsa" - focusing on the racing vibe - "4C Leggenda" - elected victorious by the Alfa Romeo community, which, with its references to the pastel colours of the past, exalts the union of sportiness and history represented by the brand.
The Leggenda proposal was therefore the one taken as inspiration for the creation of the 4C Unica, which, in addition to the special colour, was also embellished with a dedicated livery and an upholstery in leather of a specific colour and workmanship.
The Alfa Romeo 4C Unica has been built based on a Launch Edition car that has always been in the Alfa Romeo range,used for promotional purposes and obviously mechanically renewed. It has been made available to keen collectors interested in purchasing an important piece of the history of this iconic model, a tribute to the authentic Italian style and driving pleasure embodied by the original 4C.
