The historical re-enactment of the “most beautiful race in the world” kicks off, as an ideal combination of tradition and innovation.
Over 400 cars will parade along the route, passing locations with a timeless charm. Just like every year, these places will help us appreciate and rediscover the excellence of this country and the importance of our historic automotive heritage.
Although it retains its distinctive competitive spirit, the 1000 Miglia is now synonymous with beauty and sportsmanship. The event attracts visitors from all over the world to the most magnificent places in Italy, with an eagerness to share their passion for vintage cars in an unrivalled artistic and cultural setting.
Let’s have a look at this year’s route:
- Stage 1, 15 June: Brescia – Cervia-Milano Marittima
- Stage 2, 16 June: Cervia-Milano Marittima – Rome
- Stage 3, 17 June: Rome – Parma
- Stage 4, 18 June: Parma – Brescia
THE CONTENDERS
Alfa Romeo is the car marque best represented at the 1000 Miglia, with 50 vehicles due to run in the race. Three of these are vintage models from our collection.
Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 Super Sport: the six cylinder born in 1928 under the racing banner, bringing home that same year the 1000 Miglia victory, the first of 11 that Alfa Romeo won in the legendary race
Alfa Romeo 1900 Sport Spider: the prestigious prototype designed by Franco Scaglione for the Bertone bodyworks and developed starting from the 1900, the car that marked Alfa Romeo's post-war revival
Alfa Romeo 1900 Super Sprint: adored by gentlemen drivers in the Fifties and assembled by the Milanese atelier Touring Superleggera, it also comes from the 1900 and is equipped with an upgraded engine, designed to give performance enthusiasts the right adrenaline rush.
